I was nominated by Brett Lobajeski for the #10daymotopicture photo nomination thing
... I will nominate Bryan Much as he always has a good story with his photos.
Here is the first photo for my ten day moto photo-essay.
This is my 1966 BSA 650 Lightning. My mom took this picture of the bike and I on the Klas homestead farm located near Fredonia, WI. I purchased the 5 years old bike for a buck a cc of displacement
Chromed gas tank, twin carb Beezers will always draw attention at classic motorcycle shows. I bought my Beezer in perfect original shape. Being a kid who recently watched The movie Easy Rider, I trashed out the original parts in the nearest garbage can and build the English bike into a chopper. The long forks and rear solid struts were great for wheelies. I would throttle, shut down compressing the fork springs, then hit the throttle. The front wheel would easily be off the ground.
In July 1972, my bud "Jeff the Polock" and I took a trip to the East Coast. He was on his 48 Pan and I on the Beezer. Thus started my motorcycle touring. The next year I bought a Harley XLCH Sporty chopper for better touring ??? for a trip to Canada.
